About

Scientist on the Subway (SciSub) is a blog dedicated to highlighting the trajectories that lead scientists to where they are now, touching on the challenges as well as the triumphs, particularly of scientists who belong to underrepresented groups. We show learners of all ages that scientists come from many backgrounds and can be at different stages of their scientific career.

SciSub is part of Columbia University Neuroscience Outreach (CUNO), a student organization that seeks to foster a lifelong interest in the brain and in science among New York City school students and the general public. Find out more about CUNO’s initiatives here.
